Secrets to Get Patients in the Door, in Chairs, and Build Relationship Loyalty!

Speaker: Andrea Gallimore

Attracting and retaining patients is a lot of work for you and your team—but it doesn’t have to be. We’ll show you how technology can assist you in your marketing efforts, help busy patients remember their appointments, and build their loyalty to your practice by automatically staying in touch all year long.

Attracting and retaining patients is a lot of work for you and your team—but it doesn’t have to be. We’ll show you how technology can assist you in your marketing efforts, help busy patients remember their appointments, and build their loyalty to your practice by automatically staying in touch all year long.

Your practice management software should have the capability to integrate tools that simplify patient communication and marketing efforts. Don’t get trapped overpaying a marketing company that doesn’t understand the dental industry or how to reach the goals of your practice. Making this mistake will end up costing your practice more money and time, while producing little to no results of retaining or acquiring new patients. It’s important you understand essential marketing tactics, but it is MORE important for you to know there are more affordable, time saving tools that you can easily manage.

In this course you will learn:

  • When marketing benefits your practice throughout the journey of your patient’s experience.
  • How to attract new patients and how to retain those same patients through continued marketing automated efforts, which grows your active patient base.
  • What practice marketing and patient engagement tools you should integrate into your practice management software, letting the technology do the hard work FOR you.
  • How to configure the tools for effective marketing automation.
  • Which actions require a human touch and which actions can be automated through technology.

Join us as Andrea, a seasoned Office Manager and practice management expert, teaches you how to implement a successful marketing campaign that will keep your chairs full, patients coming back and grow your practice.

Employee Engagement and Setting High Standards

Speaker: Tiana Starke

At CEDR, we focus primarily on assisting our members when they have to make complicated, legally compliant employment decisions. Still, we place almost as much emphasis on the “soft skills” involved in human resource management because, at the end of the day, the common denominator connecting all threads in the HR tapestry is human beings.

Still, we place almost as much emphasis on the “soft skills” involved in human resource management because, at the end of the day, the common denominator connecting all threads in the HR tapestry is human beings. As Dental Office Managers, you are no doubt very familiar with the complexities of managing humans on a day-to-day basis. While it can be very easy (and necessary) to address the issues that seem pressing and immediate, it’s sometimes necessary to take a step back and think large-scale in terms of Employee Engagement in order to ensure that your work gets done, that you cultivate and retain a strong talent pool, and that you build and maintain a foundation for a positive, harmonious, and efficient work setting for all of the amazing (and amazingly complex) humans that make up your team.

Course Learning Objectives:

  • Learn what it means to be “engaged” at work
  • Discuss the value of engagement in your workplace
  • Understand your role as a manager when it comes to engagement
  • Review effective tools to help you increase and maintain engagement.

Speaker: Tonya Lanthier

Word of mouth has always been the foundation for the acquisition of new patients by a dental practice but in our internet age, word of mouth is transformed because of reviews sites like Google, Yelp, and Facebook. Online reviews are now one of the biggest ranking factors in a local search.

Being credible is only one piece of the puzzle though. Your practice also needs to be found online when people are searching for a dentist near them. Are you at the top of the Google Map Pack? If not, you are invisible and all of those great reviews are not doing you much good.

In this session Dr. Tau shares numerous tips and best practices to not only become credible but visible online. This comprehensive reputation marketing class will cover how to not only generate reviews but also how to handle the dreaded negative review. Dr. Tau will also share what are the best practices when it comes to online reviews. He will also discuss the system that has been tried and tested in his own office enabling him to take his practice to the next level simply by marketing his reputation.

If you want to learn everything there is to know about online reviews this is the course for you.

The Art of Delegation Without Being a Witch

Speaker: Dr. Gina Dorfman

In his book, E-Myth Revisited, Michael Gerber explains that “most businesses don’t work. The people who create them do. They get up in the morning, and they do it all. And they keep doing it, and doing it, and doing it. And they cannot imagine it being done without them. And they keep doing it until they run out of steam.”
As practice owners or managers, we wear many different hats.

We take care of patients, answer questions, make decisions, put out fires, and on top of everything, we are feeling the need to manage and motivate employees and hold them accountable. And when we get home, many of us put on the hats of moms, spouses, domestic engineers, math tutors, drivers, and confidants.

It’s exhausting. We know we must learn how to delegate more effectively, but we tell ourselves that nobody can do it better than we can, and by the time we would find someone to do it and explain how to do it, it’s easier to do it ourselves. So we keep doing it all until we burn out.

In this course, we’ll dispel the common myths that prevent us from becoming effective delegators. We will learn how to delegate efficiently, avoid micromanaging, and empower our employees to take ownership of the assigned projects and tasks.

Dental Membership Plans: Time To Leave The Insurance Rat Race Behind

Speaker: Christopher Phelps, DMD, CMCT

Less than 35% of the US carries dental insurance. A number that continues to decline every year. As this population pool shrinks, the DSO’s are leveraging their size and buying power to negotiate better insurance reimbursement rates.

Less than 35% of the US carries dental insurance. A number that continues to decline every year. As this population pool shrinks, the DSO’s are leveraging their size and buying power to negotiate better insurance reimbursement rates. Ultimately, it’s a rat race the solo GP office can’t compete in. Instead, we should be focusing our efforts on the 65% of those without insurance. Those who don’t come to see us unless it hurts or they are in pain. With a Dental Membership Plan, we can take back control of our practice’s future and insulate us and our team from what lies ahead. In this talk we’ll discuss the mindset of the membership plan patient. Why membership plan patients spend more money in your practice than any other type of patient. How you should structure your plan as a profit center for the practice and how I used this plan to grow my two fee for service practices from $1.6 million in collections to averaging just over $6.5 million in a 3 year period.
