As the spouse of the dentist, you face different challenges within the practice. Together as a team you are not only managing the practice, you are the owners of the business. Many times you struggle to manage as a team member because you are the business owner.

AADOM’s Dental Spouse Business Network, (DSBN), is a group of spouse members who are very active in supporting each other daily. This year in addition to spouse specific courses at the conference, we are offering a full day pre-conference retreat just for dental spouses/partners. This full day session will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 8:00am – 6:00pm.

Teresa Duncan, MS, FAADOM

With over 20 years of healthcare experience, Teresa addresses topics such as Insurance Coding, Office Manager Training and Revenue Growth and Protection. She is a Fellow of the American Association of Dental Office Management. Her memberships include the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, National Speakers Association and the Academy of Dental Management Consultants. She was recently named one of the Top 25 Women in Dentistry. Teresa received her Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management.

With over 25 years of experience as a manager and business owner, Paul is well-known throughout the dental community for his expertise when it comes to solving HR issues that impact dental practice owners and managers. He specializes in helping dentists successfully handle employee issues and safely navigate the complex and ever-changing employment labor law landscapes through his company’s customized employee handbooks and support center.

Paul is the author of HR Base Camp, a blog and podcast channel for dentists and healthcare providers. He is also a featured writer for The Profitable Dentist, Dentistry IQ, and Dentaltown. He is a contributor to the ADA’s GPS program and regularly speaks at dental seminars, conferences and CE courses across the country, including the Greater New York Dental Meeting, Yankee Dental Conference, DOCS Education, AADOM and more.

Kurt Tullar, J.D. is an HR Advisor and a licensed attorney with over 10 years’ experience as a litigator and compliance officer. Kurt spends his days helping CEDR members understand the many ways in which employment laws impact HR policies and providing guidance to successfully resolve workplace problems.

Christine Taxin

Christine Taxin’s workshop and lecture attendees benefit from her expertise in advanced dental billing, dental to medical cross-coding, administrative and wellness systems. Her company, Links2Success, is approved as a PACE continuing education provider through the Academy of General Dentistry.

Prior to starting her own management consulting company, Christine worked for a large New York City hospital as administrator of a critical department, managed an extensive practice and worked with Coaching Solutions and Dynamic Administrators consulting companies. She has trained in management at LVI. She has been awarded “Leader in Consulting” for the past four years in Dentistry Today.

Christine serves as an adjunct professor at the New York University (NYU) Dental School and Resident Programs for New York City Programs. Christine will also begin teaching coding at Harvard Dental School.

Ron Bolden, Vice President, Dental Market Insight
Ron holds the role of Cigna’s Vice President, Dental Market Insight.  In this capacity, his responsibilities include working with Cigna’s dental senior leadership in formulating and implementing the company’s growth strategy by driving the company’s business intelligence, acting as the business lead in evaluation, implementation and delivery of strategic business relationships and serving as the company spokesperson in industry associations.

Dean Tossie, Assistant Vice President
In Sunrise, where Dean currently resides, he worked as Director, Product Development and Management, Assistant Vice President of Sales Communication and Support for Cigna’s Dental/Vision and Group Insurance business and Dental Strategy lead before taking the role of Assistant Vice President, Network Management & Operations for Cigna’s dental line of business.

Dean obtained a B.S. in Health Care Management and graduated with honors from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University.

Stacy Hood, Vice President, Network Contracting
Stacy Hood has been with Cigna for 19 years and currently holds the position of Vice President, Network Contracting for the Dental Business. She is responsible for the development and execution of the Network Strategy for all the Dental Networks and Products Nationwide.  Her team consists of over 120 employees and continues to build strong and competitive networks in the United States as well as US Territories.
